ABD Dışişleri Bakanı Mike Pompeo’nun Tokyo ziyaretinde; Japonya, Hindistan ve Avustralya dışişleri bakanlarıyla bir zirve düzenlemesinin ardından Çin Dışişleri Bakanı Wang Yi, Güneydoğu Asya’da ‘karşı hamle’ turuna çıktı. Wang Yi, Güneydoğu Asya turu kapsamında Malezya’ya bir ziyarette bulundu.
Çinli bakan Malezya ziyaretinde Dışişleri Bakanı Hişamuddin Hüseyin ile ortak basın toplantısı gerçekleştirdi. Basın toplantısında konuşan Wang Yi, Güneydoğu Asya Uluslar Birliği üyelerini ‘dış müdahalelere karşı birlik ve beraberliği sağlamaya’ çağırdı.
Çin Dışişleri Bakanı Wang Yi, ABD’yi Asya-Pasifik’teki ‘ülkeleri birbirlerine kışkırtmakla’ suçlayarak, Washington’un Hint-Pasifik ittifakı kurma planını Doğu Asya için bir ‘güvenlik riski’ olarak değerlendirdi.
ABD’nin Amacı Hint-Pasifik NATO’su Kurmak
Wang basın toplantısında, ABD’nin gerçek amacının Avrupa’daki NATO’ya benzer bir Hint-Pasifik NATO’su kurmak olduğunu söylerken, ABD’nin bu amacını ‘tehlikeli ve kaygan bir zeminin başlangıcının işareti’ olarak nitelendirdi.
Wang Yi, “ABD’nin istediği eski moda ‘Soğuk Savaş’ zihniyetini uygulamak, farklı gruplar ve bloklar arasındaki çatışmayı kışkırtıp, jeopolitik bir mücadelenin başlangıcını yapmaktır.” dedi.
ABD’nin bu planı, bölgede nüfuz gücünü artırma iddiaları bulunan Çin’e karşı bir ittifak kurma stratejisi olarak görülüyor.
Bölgenin Geleceği Bölge Halkına Tayin Edilmeli
Wang, Asya Pasifik ülkelerinin yürüttüğü ‘karşılıklı yarar ve kazan-kazan yaklaşımı’ politikalarının aksine ABD’nin bölgedeki hâkimiyetini sürdürmeye istekli olduğunu söyledi.
Bölgenin geleceği bölge halkı tarafından belirlenmeli diyen Wang, Doğu Asya ülkelerinin kendi istikrarını sağlama hakkını elinde tuttuklarını belirterek, bağımsız bir dış politika yürütmek istediklerini ifade etti.
Güney Çin Denizi Sorunu
Malezya Dışişleri Bakanı Hişamuddin Hüseyin ise Çin ve ABD’yi ‘ikili arasındaki karşılıklı güveni güçlendirme’ çağrısında bulundu. Hişamuddin, Güney Çin Denizi konusundaki anlaşmazlıklara değinerek, sorunların bölgesel diyalog yoluyla barışçıl bir eksende çözülebileceğini söyledi.
Çin yıllardır diğer kıyı devletleriyle Güney Çin Denizi üzerinde bir rekabet halinde bulunuyor. ABD, son aylarda Güney Çin Denizi’nin tartışmalı bölgelerinde askeri tatbikatlar düzenlerken, Çin’i bölgede bir deniz imparatorluğu kurmakla suçluyor.
