Ukrayna: Neo-Nazi Mıknatısı
Ukrayna uzun süredir aşırı sağcı örgütler için bir eğitim kampı haline gelmiş durumda. Konuyla ilgili çalışmaları bulunan ve Belfer Center’a bağlı Russia Matters’a yazan Huseyn Aliyev, Ukrayna’nın Neo-Naziler için bir merkez haline geldiğini yazmıştı. Soufan Center’ın 2019 raporuna göre, krizin çatışmalara dönüştüğü 2014 yılından 2019’a kadar yabancı ülkelerden gelmiş 900 aşırı sağcı Ukrayna’da savaştı.
Yabancı ülkelerden gelen savaşçılar, 2014 yılından itibaren Ukrayna ordusu altında faaliyet göstermeye devam eden Azov Alayı’na katılıyorlar. Yerli ve yabancı gönüllülerden oluşan alayın kuruluşu, Gürcistan’dan gelen Gürcistan Lejyonu’nun Ukrayna saflarında savaşa dahil olmasıyla gerçekleşmişti. Alayın unsurları hala çoğunlukla Gürcistan ve Ukrayna uyruklu savaşçılardan oluşsa da onlarca ülkeden Neonazinin alaya katıldığı biliniyor. Alay aynı zamanda Ukrayna ve Avrupa’da aşırı sağcı taraftar gruplarıyla da yakın ilişki içerisinde.
İnsan hakları ihlalleri ve savaş suçlarıyla da ünlenen alayda eski askerler de bulunuyor. Geçmişte Fransız Yabancılar Lejyonu için savaşmış eski bir Yunan asker, Brezilya uyruklu Frank Horrigan ve eski İngiliz askeri Chris Garrett daha önce medyaya açıklamalarda bulunmuş isimlerden.
Buzz Feed’in haberine göre, Ukrayna hükümet geçen hafta iki Amerikan vatandaşını sınırdışı etti. İki Amerikalının şiddet eylemleriyle bilinen Amerikalı bir aşırı sağ örgütüne üye olduğu ve Ukrayna’ya savaş deneyimi kazanmak için geldiği belirtiliyor.

Aşırı sağcı eski askerlerin örgütlendiği yerlerden birisi de, Ukrayna’ya çatışma deneyimi kazanmaları için eleman göndermeyi düşünen The Base.
Amerika Birleşik Devletleri merkezli VICE News’in ulaştığı telefon konuşması kayıtlarına göre, The Base, Donbas’ta süren krizi fırsata çevirmek istiyor. The Base’in kurucusu Rinaldo Nazzaro ve diğer örgüt liderleri arasında geçen konuşmada buradaki çatışmaların örgüt elemanlarına savaş tecrübesi, uzmanlaşma ve organizasyon becerisi katabileceği değerlendiriliyor.
Sızan telefon konuşmalarında “Ukrayna’ya seyahat edebilecek durumdaki adamlarımız için orayı kaynak olarak kullanmak, Ukrayna’yı değerlendirmenin iyi yolu.” diyen Nazzaro, Ukrayna’nın elemanların eğitimi için iyi bir alternatif olduğunu düşünüyor.
