Iraklı aktivistler İran destekli milislerden kaçıyor

Hasaynen El Minşid Iraklı bir insan hakları aktivisti. Uzun yıllar boyunca Irak’ta insan hakları konusunda aktivist olarak pek çok ölüm tehdidi aldı. Bunların hepsini görmezden geldi ve çalışmalarına devam etti. Ancak akıl hocası polis karakolunun hemen dışında silahla vurulunca Irak’tan kaçmak gibi zor bir karar aldı.

 

Geçen sene Kasım ayında yaşanan vurulma olayından sonra İstanbul’a kaçan Hasaynen Irak için “Artık çok tehlikeli. Açık alanda herkesin, güvenlik güçlerinin gözleri önünde cinayetler işleniyor,” dedi. 29 yaşındaki El Minşid, akıl hocası Emced El-Damat ve diğer birçok aktivist, geçen yıl Irak’ı kasıp kavuran ölümcül hükümet karşıtı ayaklanmalar sırasında, Güney Irak’taki memleketleri Amara’da planlanan bir protestoyu tartışmak için polisle bir toplantıya katılmıştı. El-Damat karakoldan çıkınca plakası olmayan bir araçtan açılan ateş ile hayatını kaybetti. El-Minşid, bu olaydan beş gün sonra ülkeden ayrıldı.

 

El-Damat vakası aktivistler, hak savunucuları ve gazeteciler milis grupların devam eden saldırılardan kaçmaya iten, hedef alınarak öldürülen düzinelerce Iraklı genç siyasi aktivistten sadece biriydi.

Hak savunuculuğu grupları ve gazetecilik kurumları Irak’taki aktivistlerin ve savunucuların ülkeden ayrılışlarının zaten on yıllardır zayıflamış Irak sivil toplumunu daha da güçsüz hale getirdiğini ifade ediyor. Bağımsız İnsan Hakları Organizasyonu El Emel ise bu yıl içinde çoğu Bağdat ve Güney Irak’ta olmak üzere en az 44 aktivistin kaçırıldığını ve 74 aktiviste karşı suikast girişimi yapıldığını söyledi. Organizasyonun raporuna göre 2019 yılının ekim ayından bu yana en az 39 aktivist öldürüldü.

 

El-Emel yöneticisi Hasan Vahap suikastların geçen yıl düzenlenen protestoların ardından yükseldiğini ifade etti ve ekledi: Sahadaki tüm kaynaklarımızı kaybetmeye başladık.

 

Konu hakkında konuşan güvenlik subayı ise aktivistleri korumak konusunda güvenlik güçlerinin güçlü politik bağlantıları ve destekçileri bulunan vahşi milislere karşı çoğu zaman güçsüz ve etkisiz kaldığını söyledi.
