Sisi’yi Elysee Sarayı’nda ağırlayan Macron Mısır Cumhurbaşkanı ile bir basın toplantısı düzenledi. İkili görüşmenin ardından düzenlenen ortak basın toplantısında konuşan Macron “Silah satışlarındaki işbirliğini insan hakları konusundaki fikir ayrılıklarına bağlı kılmak istemiyorum.” açıklamasında bulundu.
Silah satışları konusunda uygulanacak boykotların, Mısır’ın terörle mücadele konusunda etkinliğini azaltacağını söyleyen Macron, ulusların egemenliğine ve karşılıklı çıkarlara saygı duyulması çağrısı yaptı.
Macron, Mısır ile birçok konuda ortak görüşlerinin olduğunu dile getirirken, Mısır’la terörle mücadele hususunda iş birliğin artması gerektiğini bildirdi. Macron ayrıca önümüzdeki günlerde Mısır ile birçok anlaşmanın imzalanacağını duyurdu.
